freerunner - I too am with Share.com - I recall investing £500 in the initial IPO for iii as it was pre 2002 - I only recall it being that much as I moved house then and it was whilst still at the other house. I used their iii bulletin board before migrating here - their board had gone to rat5.
As for trading with them, I never did having gone with Share.com who I have been happy with.
I think there is some shrinkage in services and collaboration and mergers to fit the new world of business. I have the signed and sealed document on my desk agreeing to the merger. I am limited to a small amount of stocks presently so it suits me for now.
Best regards and hopefully things are progressing positively for you and the family. I know when I was diagnosed with multiple kidney tumours, resulting in bi-lateral partial nephrectomy, the family took it really badly but I am still about and creating as little mischief as I can. Stay safe ;@)
Rocket they going to need a huge net because there a lot of fish going to be wanting in this shoal no doubt ,a sea full, something this huge don't come along every day in life that's for sure ,the team BOD have worked diligently and deserve there reward I wish them and all genuine holders best of luck.
Freerunner - sorry to hear the news about your wife, but pleased that she is still well.
Re your query about share.com/ii. I can't comment on ii, but I used to be with Share.com many years ago and was very happy with them. However, when I needed to start investing in a pension about ten years ago, I decided to shop around'. After comparing fees, I decided on BestInvest (now Tilney BestInvest), as their fees were lower. I have found their customer service to be very good.
Hi all...mm...well...haven't posted here for around 10 years. Had to sit in the background, dealing with life...looking after my dear wife during and after cancer. Thanks to the amazing NHS she is still well.
Have been in and out of BPC (amongst other's) over those years...and from the onset, used Share.com to buy my shares. I currently hold a share ISA with them (BPC) and outside that have FRR (no longer listed on aim) as ordinary share account...those FRR I've written off. All investers with Share.com have been informed of the takeover by ii.
My question is, does anyone here use ii platform, and if so what is the verdict. I have until November to inform them if I'm 'happy' with flipping over from share to ii...but wondered if it was just as easy to transfer without penalties to LSE or whoever. I notice LSE don.t have a monthly fee (£9.99 with ii) for ISA holding.
Thanks for taking the time to read me 'going on' and needless to say I appreciate (along with countless others) all the time, effort and advice so many of you have made over the months and years...priceless.
Many thanks in advance.
