Once again I apologise for going off topic. I’ll say no more about it . GLA
I agree with all your sentiments, I have no wish to leave the union.I would say that Scots who want to leave are living in the past.I have a strong pride in being Scottish but but I don’t believe in nationalism it’s a dangerous road.Whas like us , damn few and their a deed
I like Scotland.
I have met far more Scottish people that I like than I dislike.
I am disappointed that with Sturgeon it appears so many Scots would like to end a great Union than defend it.
Aside from the issues of currency and borders, defence and international support there is the small issue that with Boris getting Brexit done he takes all of the Union states out of Europe. Where does that leave Scotland?
Out of Europe, out of the United Kingdom trying to make trade agreements alone as a small but proud independent country.
Admittedly there will probably be a request to rejoin the European union, all member states post Brexit are using Euros so that becomes the currency.
Will Scotland as an independent country have the same sway and influence within Europe as the UK?
Returning to domestic politics a country where 40+ seats out of 55 vote for 1 party is close to having an elected dictatorship.
What credible opposition will the SNP have, will the party itself fracture along points of division (hopefully not religious ones as that rarely ends well)
In short I think an independent Scotland ironically has less freedom than Scotland in a devolved union.
Maybe it is the devolution that needs to be reviewed rather than the union?
On that cheering note I am off for a ride.
Happy Sunday BPC weekenders.
I'm a Scottish Unionist through and through and I hate Sturgeon with a vengeance. She only has one ambition in life and thats to split Scotland from the rest of the UK. I voted with the 52% to REMAIN in the original referendum and the result stands, we REMAIN part of the UK. Sturgeon didnt like the result so keeps on with her ambition even though she lost. The only way she'll give up is if she gets HER way regardless of what it does to the country. I voted to LEAVE Europe but Wee Krankie is under the deluded belief that ALL of Scotland voted to remain in Europe. Not true at all, for Scotland I was in a minority vote of 42% but overall the result stands for ALL of the UK, not just Scotland! A vote is a vote, it's Democracy and if you don't like the result move to Russia, simple......
All IMHO of course..

I hate the idea of Scotland leaving the UK. It saddens me immensely. However, the rest of us are getting really quite sick of Sturgeon. I never even considered Scotland a different country until this all kicked off.
You know, no city outside of London gets any more say of proceedings. We are just as dictated to as Scotland and we receive just as much of not slightly less funding. I hate that you place yourselves above the rest of us.
