Findme: Eh? I am lobbying for myself, my family and friends who collectively hold substantial shares. The 'we' is my various companies who have a substantial network of connections in business and politics. For the record, we and I have no influence on Bahamas matters such as politics, other than (a) having very enjoyable vacations there and (b) feeling personal empathy for the recent hurricane and pandemic disasters these wonderful Bahamian folks had to endure . I have nothing further to add.

Star, people who lobby, in most cases lobby on behalf of someone else as it is their profession, Who are you lobbying on behalf and who is this "We"?
Findme, I don't fully understand your post or what you wish me to clarify. My post this morning was not geared to regular posters on the CERP/BPC BBs, but to lobby those who only occasionally read these forums, perhaps triggered by the corporate action notification re the vote. I have already made it very clear on my previous posts (a) why I believe the merger is a good one and (b) my total confidence in the BoDs. Please review what I have written since 11/6, which runs to 73 pages in a Word doc/PDF and includes my observations on the points you raise about P1 funding. 'We' keep copies of everything I have written in the public domain for legal reasons which is somewhat rather complicated to explain, without being accused by some, of self-importance .
You will of-course vote as you deem fit and I will respect that.

Star - I usually like the content of your posts - however, you are playing a dangerous game in speaking on behalf of all of the members here.
As you will have noted many are sitting on the sidelines (??) or so they say when they post for the first time and are often ridiculed. So can you really speak for them and those who have not made up their minds which way they will vote.
As I mentioned pursuing a goal of garnering votes at a polling station is an offence for which you can be arrested. THIS IS NOT a polling station, however the etiquette remains the same.
Feel free to suggest your own personal feelings and vent your frustrations. There are many folk on here who are undecided including those who you claim are no voters - they are no voters until the questions they wish to have answered are indeed answered. If/When those answers come their vote may change - they are undecided but have a fall back position.
To be honest the few posters on here do not represent the majority of shareholders so I do not understand why the need to be shouting out people who have a different view to your own - and that goes to everyone. We can debate matters in a civil manner without everything becoming personal - just saying.
And again starchild - I do enjoy your posts in the main.
Starchild, your post, to me, shows you have as much a vested interest as any poster advocating a NO vote otherwise you would be just like me who has been here since 2010 and cast my vote without trying to influence others. If you are totally independent then you only know about what is going on behind the scenes as much as anyone else. Your extract;
If no additional information is forthcoming before the vote, it likely means they are in the middle of negotiations with 3rd parties and cannot spell out the deal(s), even though they would love to do so.
How the dickens do you know they "would love to do so" unless you know more than you are letting on,
Your post reminds me of an interview, the BBC I think it was, with Roy Jenkins in the run up to the vote on whether we should join the EEC. He was almost blubbering because at that time it looked like it would be a NO vote. As it was and to my disappointment it was yes. When the dust settled I do believe he was one of the UK's first commissioners,
I firmly believe we should vote on the basis we have been able to glean from the information the respective boards have put out and if it goes against their wishes they have only themselves to blame.
Starchild I'm sure you echo the sentiments of quite a number of investors who have followed Bahamas or Columbus over recent years. I too most certainly will be voting YES. Thanks, Starchild for sharing your thoughts and I do hope you continue to post at least up to the drilling of Perseverance 1 and beyond...

You will be receiving voting documentation any day and may be reading this BB out of curiosity. I and many others on this forum are voting YES to the merger because we have full faith in the unanimous recommendation of both BoDs to do so. Even though we all want more detail as to funding, I have full trust in the BPC and C£RP BoDs. If no additional information is forthcoming before the vote, it likely means they are in the middle of negotiations with 3rd parties and cannot spell out the deal(s), even though they would love to do so.
There is a SMALL hardcore group on this forum who are purportedly going to vote NO, which is their absolute right, implying they believe they know better than the company’s directors. Some have admitted it is to ensure any massive oil find is not shared with the current CERP shareholders after the merger. Others have openly admitted to manipulating this BB for self-interest. And one person (using various aliases) has been allegedly suspended for spreading fake news and being disruptive.
It is your absolute right to vote how you wish. It is always advisable to seek professional advice and to do your own research. Always assume everyone posting on this forum (including me) has a conflict of interest. ALWAYS review their posting history and be very very suspicious of anyone CONTINUOUSLY speaking negatively about a company or its Directors. Why don’t they just sell their shares rather than waste time arguing about it for hours on end? Is it out of public service to help others out of the goodness of their heart? Or is it for other reasons, including attempting to lower the share price so they can buy in at a cheaper rate at the expense of others?
I am a long term BPC holder since 2014 and not a day trader. I am looking forward to the merger as it ASSURES the Bahamas drill (spud) will happen http://www.tribune242.com/news/2020/jun/12/oil-explorer-merger-assures-bahamian-well-will-be/ and after it happens, we will know whether tiny BPC/CERP has discovered a middle eastern sized massive oil field.
I apologise for this Gettysburg style address, partly written out of frustration.
