@retrosec you write and respond like a typical bully, you think you can regulate all posts and respond with immature comments because it doesn’t meet your narrative.
What have you added? Saying a parl inq is coming with exclamation marks. Is that a question or a fact?
Agreed with @wolfofwarks. Two things come to my mind. 1) suppliers who have close contact/relationship with the founders 2) tendering process.
Nice one retrosec. Glad your adding value to the conversation.
This scenario is a bit different to sports direct in that they were directly paying employees below minimum wage whereas with Boohoo it's further down the supply chain and therefore indirect. It's more a question of overall corporate governance and checks and balances which I don't believe requires a hearing. Maybe they would be asked to take apart in a larger hearing around the Leicester rag trade.
What we need to know at this stage as investors is there anything else under the sauce?
It is my opinion that aliens will visit us at some point in the future ... see we can all talk b*******s!
@Biddwolf - true this is my opinion, it is possible but not a fact.
inve5t. A parliamentary inquiry isn't reality....you just made it up.
@Biddwolf - sure. Quite frankly most of the traders are here for a quick buck, i don't think anyone really pays attention to the 'opinion' field. All i read is the great majority informing us that the stock is about to go through the roof and ignoring all reality. Anyone who posts anything nearing a sensible argument on why the price may fall further is hounded down.
I would suggest that the parliamentary committee need to focus their efforts on dodgy MPs who claim false expenses, cash for questions, aware contracts to their mates, etc. before they focus on what's happening in the real world. Still waiting for the government to set a licensing scheme and the regulatory framework around this.
Its easy to throw stones but make sure your own house is in order before you do this!
I would suggest it is not wise to 'advise' anything on here. By all means state a case for or against a direction of travel for a share, but advising people to hold, buy or sell is considered a no no.
Sports direct? That would be the inquiry where a bunch of MPs questioned mike Ashley and when they attempted to continue to ask questions after the time they had allotted for the meeting he responded along the lines of I’m sorry but you said this would be finished at x o’clock and I’ve got a lunch appointment so I’m off. He then proceeded to go and have his lunch in the commons restaurant I believe.
Given Kamani did a zoom call with Levitt while he was having his breakfast at some hotel when she wanted to speak to him for her inquiry I suspect he will treat any dodgy parliamentary committee with similar amount of contempt to Ashley and may even ask them a few questions about what have they done to combat the known problems in the Leicester garment industry given that they have supposedly been known for some considerable time according to local Leicester mps.
there are many reasons why there will be an parliamentary inquiry and many reasons for not having one. History says there is a very high probability for an official inquiry on health and safety grounds.
No not at all. Note that i have advised that people should keep this stock on 'hold'. Just because i am new to this forum doesn't mean i have alternative motives.
Will they also begin an inquiry into the long standing issues in Leicester and hold HMRC accountable? Will they also begin an inquiry into why Leicester MP's did nothing about the same issues? Doubt it, and doubt there will be a parliamentary inquiry into boohoo because it would expose the shortcomings of their own political and regulatory and system.
Another account set up just to deramp - clown.
Expect a parliamentary inquiry if sports direct is anything to go by...sp will experience further downward pressure. Long term it is still a good investment but the jury is out on whether your better off investing else where right now if your looking for short term gain.
