Thanks P. Hope so as this board was the best. A nice little secret board to contemplate where we should invest.
I was looking at marl on here and people still occasionally post even though sandstorm took them over in 2017.so this board will never actually close.lol.
Now up 6% on first day of new trading for us- good choice and well done for those willing to see it all through. I also saw on the ABX site that ABX have issued at statement their Gold production is at the top of estimates and we now continue into the third qtr.

Just out of interest who is left here,I was out but had a change of heart and brought 30,000 shares last week and am about. Evens before becoming abx.Could not resist the divis and exploration rights,Also I think Barrick are a better play than cey, fres and hoc.also a chance to learn about other exchanges outside U.K.,time will tell.lee.
Well without doing a repeat it's been good to chat on here and agree or disagree about stuff. It's all good!-) I ll do some sneaky searches on you guys and pop up to say hi possibly. All the very best for now and. Saudi and Iran now going to add to the overall clouds on the horizon. Like literally as oil being a fossil fuel and leaves a bit of a pall. -)
HI Chaps thanks one and all for your help and contributions over the past few years. I hope this board can stay up but we may disappear overnight, and so we will no doubt meet up again on one of the other boards. I will miss coming on here almost daily, and even though I do contribute on others this has always been my favourite. All the best for the future and if this board disappears overnight all the best for the future from the Supercharger.
MP - thank you for your kind words. ACA should have been worth £6 or even £7 by now and although I can’t help thinking Barrick were in many ways complicit in the pain we have all felt over the last couple of years things could have turned out worse. Bear in mind that the increased value, if it is there, will at some point be reported by Barrick and you will get a share of it - my guess is that a deal to sell all or most of assets that are ACA to the Chinese will happen fairly quickly once the ink has dried here. Barrick have become more aggressive and more determined to add value - they have massively reduced their borrowings and in my opinion are the best large scale producer by far who will be able to virtually take their pick of mining companies going forward and as a shareholder you will benefit from the very skills that may have been deployed against us as ACA shareholders. You have a double hedge against a falling £ by holding gold stock in a US $ listed company and whatever happens in the global economy I believe by switching to Barrick you are fulfilling the number 1 rule with investing which is, preserve your capital.
I have really enjoyed the company of all posters on this site and although from time to time some of you may have frustrated me or me you this really has been an excellent board. I will of course look out for your posts elsewhere, in many ways I feel I know you and I trust that although whatever comment you make I may not agree with it will at least be an honest opinion and therefore a valuable addition to any board.
Morning...Just a note to thank the posters here for the quality of the opinions put here in the last few years. When I first saw the banter between BB and SC I imagined two market makers in desks next to each other spinning yarns ! But then of course the write ups were too good. So they had to be two analysts in support of ACA . But then I thought no these guys are better than that too!
What have we learnt? Well of course to have bought more when the SP hit 70 p .
Also I m looking at myself in the mirror. When Mark Bristow offered his fist offer for ACA 170 p or so...I like many others were outraged. I thought of the article in the FT were he talks of the hunting for big game in Africa . Not my cup of tea.
And here I m waiting for my Bartick share conversion. And the special dividend . Is the latter going to let us down too. But with no BB to vent our temporay anger. It is with a heavy heart I take the Barrick shares .
BB- & all Might be worth watching PMO as well as the miners tomorrow as Oils already up 10% tonight.
Only a couple of days left for the Aca board chaps maybe I will catch up with you on the MTRO board unless you have secret board to meet up.
Careful Hasiba - people we will think we are the same poster as we are thinking alike. As you may know I have a large position in Fres - haven’t seen you post on there - personally as silver as been falling over the weekend I can see Fres dropping again on Monday in which case I may be adding. I still think gold is a good investment although silver has industrial use so will benefit on the now more likely US/China trade deal being reported in the press as a gold play I prefer SRB but Barrick is a very safe call for the guys still holding after Monday.
BB...MTRO is safe and its bank assets only equal to near £7 but shorter have it shorter have it for now but Staying in it is of no concerns to me ..many possibilities including being taken over with a huge premium..cheap as chips now. Even if it stops trading into administration we will get massive return ...so no real bad issue here .
Turning to Barrick,ACA ....the silver dominated mines is a better value than Gold dominance mines.
The gold/silver ratio which is a very accurate historically indicates this. So example such as FRES is a better investment now than others . Just imo. I might put some money there.
The currency exchange and GP both unfavourable now but I think silver will recover much faster.
It looks the gold price trading now in a restricted price range ($1450-1550)
so buying when drops to 1450 and sell at 1550...just imv. I would not buy pure gold play now but silver dominated solid company is more than likely when we reach 1450 GP.

Thanks P, doing very well with INDV and excited for October news - still hurting with MTRO but day trading has reduced my overall loss and still hopeful that things will turn but I obviously bought in too soon - strangely though the loss I am making there is not too dissimilar to the profit I made by selling my ACA shares when I did rather than holding them until Friday but that has required a lot more effort (and some concern) on my part. All the best with Barrick, I am sure you will do well and be able to sleep soundly at night.
Good luck with metro and Indv.atb.
So Monday is the last full day of trading. Goodness the end of an era. I still think you can’t go very wrong - gold has a secure future - there will be bumps in the road but with Barrick you have a diverse spread of the best gold mines in the world. ATB
Brought another 5000 shares and that's it now,all down to barrick now, lol.

I didn't realize we also get in addition to the exploration divi, all the unpaid divis too. Nice one -makes this share worth its wait in wait for it, wait for it, ....GOLD!!!!!! ha,ha.
I have just gone over to an international account now with my Bank /Stockbroker and so I will be able to trade International shares including Barrick. I will also enjoy using my cash account for other currencies than sterling as I can also deal with them too. Something that might become invaluable if sterling takes a hit, post Brexit. We can't get it right all the time BB's I am down today on Centamin, as well as Aca, but when the Fed speaks we will come back. Luckily I sold some of my Stobarts to pay a few bills for a couple of months. ATB
I was actually just looking for a little help P - presumably you have noticed just how many RNS’s have been issued so difficult to look back. Don’t think it’s early onset dementia do you remember or not? Fairly bored with the digs about MTRO now, play another tune.
Do not tell me you have a poor memory and early dementia or is metro your new baby.lol.
Well going on Barrick you should be trading at £2.33 not £2.41 and rising - perhaps the market is taking into account the dividend? Remind me when does this deal complete?
This could change overnight as we know.
Up to 25000 shares now,way less than before but happy to stick now for next year.good luck all.
I am struggling to understand the sudden disconnection between ACA and Barrick today - you should be at £2.39 not £2.47?
Unusually for me I am trading MTRO on the dips and not doing too badly with them at the moment. I will not sell buy I am watching closely here and it is not beyond the bounds of reason that I could buy a few - but not today.
This should give the Acacia share price a further push.
