EXCLUSIVE: Quadrise Fuels boosted by new IMO 2020 fuel oil sulfur rules

In an exclusive video interview with Quadrise Fuels International, the Executive Chairman Mike Kirk tells London South East the new IMO 2020 rules which lower the allowable sulfur content in heavy duty fuel from 3.5% to 0.5% in 2020 came as a shock to the industry. Heavy duty fuel is used widely and this has subsequently distorted the market, resulted in a widening of the spread between low sulfur distillates and heavy duty fuel oil. Said Mike Kirk: "That to us is really good for our business and we also think its good for our MSAR customers because they benefit from the very wide spread".

Quadrise Fuels International, #QFI, are an emulsion technology and fuel supplier listed on AIM. Quadrise Fuels are currently hoping to successfully conclude an Open Offer for shares priced at 2.5p with the stated aim of raising up to 2 million pounds, sufficient to keep the company operating until October 2019.

It should be noted that after this video was recorded but before it was released, the offer date was extended by a week from this Friday to Friday next, 18th January 2019.
