NEX is flying...
I think I will wait until Monday morning to see what comes up in the press over the weekend, if there are any other predators out there I am sure they will be flushed out this weekend in the press -
gla dyor etc
It may go higher IF there’s a counter bid but… this is cash for your shares not just different shares in NEX.. cash is….better.
Only question is.. do you hold and hope or take the money.. too often I’ve held on and then regretted it!
GLA
No, I think they are obliged to update their shareholders, and not leave them in the dark, even if it's just a note to say we've seen the offer and are assessing our position, shareholders wait for further update before assuming anything.
'Offer Update' RNS, could be a counter offer from NEX, or an updated offer from the current bidders.
Market seems to think a higher offer regardless, which imo is why its creeping up.
Creeping up slowly
perhaps, but NEX SP has stepped up a notch too this morning, so perhaps the market sees this as a good thing for them, perhaps a time to consolidate what they have and their cash position.
Could be a bidding war if NEX want to up their offer, could push it higher, perhaps another 5p or so.
I was tempted to top slice these this morning, as I could fully de-risk, but as i didn't have a massive amount invested, and i'll still come out 100% up even if I do nothing, I'm inclined to let it ride a minute and see where she goes.
Nex in my view the stronger business, and now not spending 500 million!
@Peakybinder. Yes, if it goes to this new bidder, I think I might just buy a few NEX shares myself out of the proceeds.
Top sliced here, out at 11p avg profit per share for something I've been holding for months. Happy
Yes, instant rise to bid.
Im out, good luck all... My money is in nex now.
I was just beginning to think everything had gone a little quiet.
The qestion now is, where will the SP settle on speculation, 104/106 "should" in theory be the baselie with the offer on the table
104P and counting - been saying on here for the last 6 months that SGC will be bid for if the price keeps falling - so glad I topped up twice over the last week - well done to all long term holders on here - a lovely profit today and not the end of it - NEX may now bid higher who knows, another bidder may enter the frame - extra g and t for me and Mrc C before dinner tonight that's for sure
dyor etc
I'm SGC, this could get very interesting indeed. Buckle up for the ride.
@peakybinder. At the very least I'd say mate. Maybe a bit more. I'd expect a rise to a minimum open of £1.05
It doesn't look like you're gonna be getting your 50p buy in any time soon mate.
SP should rise to bid price.
I think they dived when SGC hit 68p again the other day. Easy price to negotiate at when its that low. Wonder if we'll see a spike up, or it'll rattle around 80-85s so people can avg down, knowing they can hopefully sell at a bigger price later on.
It's also surprising that they agreed to 105 when the pre-COVID price was in the 130-140 range. Doesn't seem like the best deal...
Just my luck that I bought more NEX and GOG instead of this.
Tidy cash bid
Yes, people making money...
Do you want a medal ?
