Hon Hai announced today that it signed an investment letter of intent with the Kaohsiung City Government to jointly plan a comprehensive smart city solution. Hon Hai will act as a system integrator and organize a smart city alliance based on the smart city platform CityGPT. The Group will support all solution providers, accelerate the construction of urban digitalization and smart services to drive industrial innovation and improve government efficiency.

That in the next three years, in the Kaohsiung area, the Group will establish its southern Taiwan hub with EV-related manufacturing factories and an international research and training center, investing an estimated NT$25 billion and creating nearly 2,000 job opportunities locally.
