Johnston Press plc, one of the leading community media groups in the UK and Ireland, announces that Ian Russell, Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, has been appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director and chairman of the Audit Committee of British Polythene Industries plc, with effect from 1 July 2011.
