Regency Mines plc ("Regency" or the "Company"), the mining exploration and mineral investment company with interests in copper and nickel in Western Australia, Queensland, and Papua New Guinea, announced on 22 September 2008 that the Company had increased its shareholding in the Mambare nickel-cobalt project in Papua New Guinea from 75% to 100%. The payment of PGK 200,000 (approximately £46,000), the second and final tranche of the consideration under that agreement, has now taken place, the relevant conditions having been fulfilled.
