Character Group PLC21 January 2005 The Character Group plc ("Character Group" or "the Company") Statement re Settlement Agreement with Uniden Corporation On 29 November 2004, Character Group announced that World Wide Licenses Limited,its wholly owned subsidiary based in Hong Kong ("WWL"), had reached an agreementwith Uniden Corporation of America ("Uniden") to end the dispute between the twocompanies whereby Uniden agreed to pay to WWL the sum of US$4.5 million intotal.
