Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 9 July 2012 it purchased 20,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 79 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was 79 pence. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 104,000 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 86,061,934 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
