Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 18 July 2012 it purchased 16,298 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 89.44780 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was 90.00 and 89.25 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 213,798 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,952,136 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
