Transaction in own shares

Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 18 May 2012 it purchased from J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd. 5,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price of 1296.40 pence per share. The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase of shares, Caledonia's issued share capital includes 57,263,301 ordinary shares of 5p each with voting rights.
