Mwana Africa PLC06 February 2007 Transactions in own shares. Mwana Africa PLC announces that on 6 February 2007 it purchased from JPMorganCazenove Limited 2,050,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 40 pence pershare. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the abovepurchase, Mwana Africa PLC holds 2,620,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has246,550,654 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares ).
