Transaction in own shares

ICAP plc announces that on 28 May 2010 it purchased 250,000 of its 10p ordinary shares at a price of 389.9133 pence per ordinary share.

The shares purchased will be held as Treasury Shares and may be used to satisfy obligations under the Company's share plans.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 3,284,739 ordinary shares as Treasury Shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held in treasury) is 653,896,283.

This share buyback is in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at its annual general meeting in July 2009.
