The Company announces that, on 27 June 2016, it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 5 pence each. The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Highest price paid per share: 2348 pence

Lowest price paid per share: 2180 pence

Volume weighted average price paid per share: 2262.4261 pence

Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 886,833 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 137,370,350 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares). This figure (137,370,350) represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
