Abbey PLC28 January 2008 Abbey Plc (the 'Company') Share Buy Back Abbey Plc announces that on 28 January 2008, it purchased 120,853 ordinaryshares of €0.32 each in the issued share capital of the Company ('OrdinaryShares') at €5.85 per share for cancellation. Following the above the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue is 26,683,670.
