Transaction in own shares

Fyffes plc announces, under the authority granted by shareholders at its previous Annual General Meeting, it purchased 9,243,384 Ordinary Shares of €0.06 each in the issued share capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on the market at a price of €0.39 per share on 18 November 2011.

The 9,243,384 Ordinary Shares purchased under this transaction will be cancelled. Following this transaction, Fyffes plc has 297,389,807 Ordinary Shares in issue, excluding the 33,075,000 held as treasury shares.
