Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 31 August 2012 it purchased 55,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price of 1417.52 pence per share. The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase of shares, Caledonia's issued share capital includes 56,931,301 ordinary shares of 5p each with voting rights.
