Purchase of own securities

Close Brothers AIM VCT plc announces that on 29 August 2008 the Company purchased 70,768 Ordinary shares at a price of 77p per share. The Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.22% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction.

These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following this transaction, the issued share capital of the Company is now 31,930,030 Ordinary shares. The Company now holds 1,443,562 Ordinary shares in Treasury.
