Transaction in own shares

ICAP plc announces that on 1 December 2011 it purchased 823,000 of its 10p ordinary shares at a price of 347.8151 pence per ordinary share.

The shares purchased will be held as Treasury Shares and are part of its ongoing capital management.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 16,794,235 ordinary shares as Treasury Shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held in treasury) is 647,558,257.

The share buyback is in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders as its annual general meeting in July 2011.
