Transaction in Own Shares

On1 July 2013 the Company purchased 666,129 of its own ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 114.98p per share.

Following this purchase and cancellation the Company's issued share capital will consist of 228,295,998 ordinary shares. The total number of shares with voting rights in the Company will therefore be 228,295,998. The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company.
