Thomas Cook Group plc announces that on 03 June 2008 it purchased 200,000 ordinary shares for cancellation. The highest price paid per share was 246.75 pence (excluding expenses) and the lowest price paid was 241 pence (excluding expenses).

As a result of these purchases Thomas Cook Group plc will purchase 223,873 ordinary shares in aggregate from Arcandor AG and KarstadtQuelle Freizeit GmbH at a price of 242.8549 pence per share, which is the average price paid for the shares reported above.
