CAPITAL LEASE AVIATION PLC

("CLA" or the "Company")

TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

CLA, the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company, announces that it purchased 126,000 ordinary shares of 20.5p each in the Company on 18 December 2014 representing approximately 0.13 per cent of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital. These shares are to be held in treasury.

For the purposes of the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, following the share buyback, the total number of ordinary shares in issue as at the date of this notice is 97,899,172, with 2,170,489 shares held in treasury.

Therefore the figure of 95,728,683 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
