NCSP Group (LSE: NCSP, MICEX: NMTP) reports consolidated operating results for four months of 2012.

NCSP Group's total cargo turnover in the reporting period amounted to 55.3 million tons which represents an increase of 4.5 million tons versus the same period of 2011. Total cargo turnover of Russian sea ports according to Association of Russian Sea Ports amounted to 175.8 million tons which represents an increase of 5.3%.

Acting CEO of PJCS NCSP Rado Antolovic commented: "In April 2012 the Group achieved record monthly cargo turnover volumes in its history - 14.2 million tons".

Growth in general cargo turnover in the first four months of 2012 totaled 0.6 million tons or 20.1%. Growth was mainly attributed to the increase in turnover of ferrous metals by 0.7 million tons (28.6%), in timber by 15.3% (+ 29 thousand tones) and in other cargoes by 27 thousand tons which more than offset the decline in non-ferrous metals (-31 thousand tons) and perishable cargoes (-77 thousand tons).

In the four months of 2012 liquid cargo volumes increased by 2.1 million tons or 4.8% versus the same period of last year.

Crude oil transshipment in January-April of 2012 totaled 38.5 million tons, which represents an increase of 3.6% compared to the same period of 2011. This growth is attributed to the increase in volumes of Primorsk Trade Port Ltd by 1.4 million tons or by 6.2% while crude oil handling volumes in Novorossiysk were stable (-0.4%).

Volumes of oil products transshipment across the Group increased by 8.1% or by 0.5 million tons. The total volume of oil products handled during the reporting period amounted to 6.7 million tons, of which 2.1 million tons was attributed to diesel transshipment by Primorsk Trade Port Ltd.

In the four months of 2012 the Group handled 3.1 million tons of grain.

According to Rado Antolovic "In March-April 2012 the fallback against 2011 container handling schedule in Novorossiysk, which accrued during bad weather conditions, was eliminated. Volume of containers handled in Novorossiysk amounted to 152 thousand TEU, which is 3.1% more than in 2011".

Total Group's container turnover (in tons) increased by 2.5%.
