Further Trading update for the year ending 31 December 2008

THURSDAY, 5 March 2009 -- Further to the announcement made on 2 December 2008, the board of Engel East Europe N.V. ('Engel' or 'the Company') now expects to report a small operating loss for the year ended 31 December 2008. In addition, the directors expect to report an increased loss before taxation compared with the previous year largely as a result of foreign exchange losses arising from the depreciation of local Eastern European currencies against the Euro and increased financial expenses arising from a higher net debt position during the year.

The Company expects to make a full announcement of its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2008 shortly.
