Total Voting Rights Update

Aberdeen Private Equity Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that following recent Transactions' in Own Shares (as announced on 3 August 2010, 17 August 2010, 23 August 2010 and 24 August 2010), the total issued share capital consists of 133,156,736 Ordinary Shares with the same number of total voting rights.

Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
