Total Voting Rights Update

Aberdeen Private Equity Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that, following the recent transaction in its own Shares (as announced on 17 June 2011), the total voting rights in respect of the Company is now 108,313,199.

Accordingly, the current issued share capital consists of 108,313,199 Ordinary Shares with voting rights. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine whether they are required to notify their interest, or a change to their interest, in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
