Mwana Africa PLC09 August 2007 MWANA AFRICA PLC Total Voting Rights London 9 August 2007 - As at 8 August 2007, the issued share capital and voting rights of MWANA AFRICA PLC ("Mwana") are as follows: Mwana's issued share capital consists of 267,906,786 Ordinary Shares of 10p each. Of the 267,906,786 Ordinary Shares in issue, 2,666,600 Ordinary shares are currently held by Mwana in treasury (to which no voting rights may be exercised)pursuant to the buyback programme recently effected by Mwana. As such, the totalnumber of Ordinary Shares in Mwana to which voting rights are attached on the basis of one vote per Ordinary Share held is 265,240,186. The above total voting rights figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine whether they are required to notify their interests in, or a change to their interest in, MWANA AFRICA PLC under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
