PHSC plc ("the Company") 31 July 2008

In accordance with FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules, the Company advises that its issued share capital comprises 11,451,019 ordinary shares of 10p each. The voting rights of all of these shares are identical.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, PHSC plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules
