Tender Offer - update

The Company announces that following the Closing Date for the Tender Offer, a total of 68,460,296 shares were validly tendered.

As a result, the Basic Entitlement of 20% for all Shareholders who have validly tendered their shares will be accepted in full and excess tenders will be satisfied to the extent of approximately 2.29 per cent. of the excess shares tendered. A total of 16,533,349 shares will be bought back through the tender offer.

Share certificates are expected to be despatched and TFE instructions are expected to be issued for shares unsuccessfully tendered by the close of business on 26 June 2009.

A further announcement will be made in respect of the Tender Price and the expected date for repayment of tender proceeds.
