Statement re Share Price Movement

GCM Resources plc ("the Company") notes the recent movements in its share price. As noted in the AGM Statement of 16 December 2008, the Company looks forward to working with the newly elected government of Bangladesh to move the Phulbari Coal Project forward.

The Company is not aware of any other factors that are giving rise to the share price increase. The Company will announce to the market any material developments of which it becomes aware.
