Aberdeen City Council sets 2018/19 budget

Aberdeen City Council yesterday (6 March 2018) held its 2018/19 budget meeting and agreed recommendations in relation to:

· General Fund Revenue and Capital Investment Programme;

· Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and Capital Investment Programme;

A balanced budget has been set. The Council is governed by the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and projected expenditure must be matched by income.

A budgeted spend of over £950million, comprising £269m capital and £689m revenue expenditure, was agreed.
