Costain announces that David Allvey has notified the Company that after fourteen years as a non-executive Director, including the last seven as Chairman, he intends to retire from the Board during the course of 2016.

Accordingly, the Company has now commenced a process, led by James Morley, Senior Independent Director, to identify and appoint a successor to Mr Allvey.

A further announcement will be made as appropriate.
