SECOND LEIGHTON WELL (TYLER #1) UPDATE

Global Petroleum Limited ("Global" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that Texon Petroleum Limited (ASX: TXN) have advised that the second Leighton well (Tyler Ranch #1) has reached its total depth.

The target oil and gas reservoir was encountered as predicted with a gas show of over 2,000 units on the mud log over a 20-30 foot (6-9 metre) interval.

The oil and gas productive zone in the first Leighton well (Peeler #1) is 26 feet (8 metres) thick and also had a gas show of over 2,000 units when drilled.

Electric logs will now be run in Tyler Ranch #1 to investigate the physical properties of the reservoir which will indicate if the gas represents a potentially productive interval in the well.

Global has now earned a 15% Working Interest in the Leighton project.
