Coal of Africa Limited17 April 2008 Coal Of Africa Limited Price Query As a result of the recent increase in the price of its shares, Coal of AfricaLimited ("CoAL" or "Company") has today received a price query from theAustralian Securities Exchange. CoAL has responded to this enquiry stating, in summary, that it is not aware ofany information concerning it which has not already been announced which, ifknown, could be an explanation for recent trading in the securities of theCompany, that recent contract negotiations have been completed at prices inexcess of 200% of last year's contracts, that there has been market speculationregarding certain organisations seeking to acquire an interest in the Companyand that it is in confidential negotiations with various organisations regardingnumber of issues including potentially taking an equity position in the Company.
