FOR CHIEFTAIN GROUP PLC ("CHIEFTAIN") 

POSTING OF OFFER DOCUMENT

Further to the announcement made today that the boards of Redhall and Chieftain had reached agreement on the terms of a recommended cash offer to be made by Redhall for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Chieftain (the "Offer"), Redhall is pleased to announce that the Offer Document containing the full terms and conditions of the Offer has been posted to Chieftain Shareholders today. 

The document can be inspected at the offices of Hammonds LLP, 7 Devonshire Square, London EC2M 4YH, during normal business hours on any weekday (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays excepted) whilst the Offer remains open for acceptance.

Terms used in this announcement shall have the meaning given to them in the announcement made today.
