SciSys PLC16 January 2008 SCISYS PLC (AIM:SSY) NEW CONTRACT SciSys Plc ('SciSys'), a leading supplier of bespoke software systems andsolutions to the broadcast and media sector, is pleased to announce that it hassigned a substantial contract worth more than £5m with Arqiva to assist Arqivain its extensive lead role in the UK's digital switch over project (DSO). Arqiva provides much of the infrastructure behind the broadcast of television,radio and wireless communications in the UK. SciSys has been commissioned to deliver a high availability, high resiliencynetwork monitoring solution as part of the DSO project. The system will providelive network management, real-time fault analysis and automated evaluation ofthe service level impact of faults in support Arqiva's fault resolution decisionprocess. The award of the contract recognises SciSys expertise in telemetry basedsystems. The companies have worked together on analogue systems for many years.The project will continue until the UK's final television region switch overwhich is due to occur in 2012 is achieved. The contract also makes provision forArqiva to engage SciSys for ongoing support services for the duration of theexpected in service life of the digital system infrastructure.
