Highland Gold Mining Limited24 January 2008 Equity issue in Highland Gold to Barrick 24 January 2008. Highland Gold Mining Limited ("Highland Gold") announces that it has allottedand issued 179,648 ordinary shares to Barrick Gold Corporation ("Barrick") beingthe remaining tranche of shares out of the 34,492,305 ordinary shares to beissued in consideration for assets agreed to be acquired from Barrick inNovember 2006. These new ordinary shares will be admitted to trading on AIM ofthe London Stock Exchange at 8.00 am on 25 January 2008. The first tranche of34,312,657 shares were allotted and issued to Barrick on 18 December 2006. Barrick's total holding in Highland Gold is 66,235,264 ordinary shares, being20.37% of the issued share capital of Highland Gold. The issued share capital and total number of voting rights of Highland Gold at25 January 2008 will be 325,197,098 ordinary shares of £0.001 per share. Theabove figure of 325,197,098 shares may be used by shareholders as thedenominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they arerequired to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in HighlandGold, under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
