Petroceltic International plc('Petroceltic' or the 'Company')

The Company has today received a notification from Lloyds Banking Group plc stating that, following market trades made by the Lloyds Banking Group plc on 15th June 2011, the Lloyds Banking Group plc has an interest in and is the registered holder of 147,540,264 ordinary shares which represents 6.228% per cent* of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. Of this, 147,539,995 shares (representing 6.228%* of the Company's issued ordinary share capital) are under the control of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership Ltd.

* This percentage shareholding is based on a shares in issue figure of 2,369,105,049ordinaryshares.
