African Minerals Limited (AIM: AMI), the mineral exploration company with significant interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, announces that the Company received notification yesterday from BlackRock, Inc. ("BlackRock"), that as of 22 May 2009 and through its controlled undertaking BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited, BlackRock has an interest in 20,362,637 common shares of the Company, representing 10.85 per cent of the Company's total issued share capital.
