European Motor Hldgs PLC24 October 2006 EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES The Company received notification on 24 October 2006 that as at the close ofbusiness on 20 October 2006, UBS AG, acting through various of UBS AG's businessgroups and legal entities, had a material interest in 8,042,669 ordinary sharesin the Company representing 14.70 per cent of the issued share capital of thatclass and a non material interest in 460,406 ordinary shares, resulting in atotal of 8,503,075 ordinary shares representing 15.54 per cent of the issuedshare capital of that class. Of the material interest disclosed above, 5,929,279 ordinary shares representing10.84 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS AG LondonBranch and 2,113,390 ordinary shares representing 3.86 per cent of the Company'sissued share capital are held by UBS Global Asset Management Life Limited.
