BEOWULF MINING PLC ("the Company") Holding in Company

The Company announces that it was notified on 22 August 2007 that on the same day City Equities Ltd acquired 8,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company equating to 10.73%. On the same day City Equities Ltd placed these shares with certain of their customers and therefore City Equities no longer holds a notifiable stake in the Company.
