European Motor Hldgs PLC21 April 2006 EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES The Company received notification on 20 April 2006 that as at the close ofbusiness on 19 April 2006, UBS AG, acting through various of UBS AG's businessgroups and legal entities, had a material interest in 8,080,368 ordinary sharesin the Company representing 14.84 per cent of the issued share capital of thatclass and a non material interest in 983,056 ordinary shares, resulting in atotal of 9,063,424 ordinary shares representing 16.65 per cent of the issuedshare capital of that class. Of the material interest disclosed above, 5,832,006 ordinary shares representing10.71 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS AG London Branch and 2,248,362 ordinary shares representing 4.13 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS Global Asset Management Life Limited.
