City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading emerging markets asset management group, announces that on 26 April 2017 the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 25,000 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 368.5 pence per share. Following this purchase the Trust holds 1,601,135 ordinary shares in the Company representing 6.0% of the Company's issued capital.
