Gemfields Plc ("Gemfields" or "the Company", Ticker "GEM") received notification on 7 December 2009 from Goldrock International Corp. ("Goldrock") that on 4 December Goldrock acquired 24,529,957 of the Company's ordinary 1p shares. Following this transaction, Goldrock has an interest through direct ownership in a total of 24,529,957 shares which represents 7.57% of the ordinary shares of 1p in the Company.
