Canisp plc (AIM: CN.) announces that on 5 January 2009, it was notified that Corvus Capital Inc ("Corvus"), a shareholder holding 29,375,000 ordinary shares representing 27.9% of the issued share capital of the Company (the "Shares"), had distributed its assets pursuant to a solvent liquidation. 

As part of that process, the Shares have been sold to Corvus Capital Limited ("CCL"), a private company incorporated in the Cayman Islands. Accordingly, Corvus no longer has a notifiable interest in the Company and CCL now has a beneficial interest in the Shares, representing 27.9% of the issued share capital of the Company.
