Gooch & Housego PLC10 April 2006 For Immediate Release 10 April 2006 Gooch & Housego PLC (The "Company") Half-Year Trading Update Gooch and Housego PLC, the specialist manufacturer of acousto-optic andelectro-optic devices, precision optical components, crystals, instruments formeasuring optical radiation and hyperspectral imaging systems, today announces atrading up-date for its half-year to 31 March 2006. Trading for the first half-year is in line with expectations, being ahead of thesame period last year and reflecting the trend towards a more even distributionof sales and profits throughout the year. With the exception of ChromoDynamicsInc., which has yet to commence trading in earnest, each of the group companieshas made a positive contribution to the overall performance.
