Murgitroyd Group PLC01 May 2008 Embargoed for release 7.00am 1 May 2008 1 May 2008 Murgitroyd Group PLC ("Murgitroyd" or the "Group") Exercise of Options Murgitroyd announces that it has issued and allotted 21,784 ordinary shares of10 pence each at a price of 121 pence per share and 8,216 ordinary shares of 10pence each at a price of 169 pence per share, both tranches pursuant toexercises of options under the Group's Unapproved Executive Share Option Scheme. The options were exercised on Wednesday 30 April 2008. An application foradmission of the new ordinary shares to trading on AIM has been submitted andtrading is expected to commence on Wednesday 7 May 2008. The total number of shares in issue following the exercise of options is8,403,239.
